About Me

I believe wellness is defined by how deeply we are able to honor the expression of our true nature. My role as a therapist, teacher, and guide is not to “fix what is broken”, but help you discover what makes you feel more alive, whole, and aligned. I would be honored to partner with you on your path of self-inquiry and personal evolution.

My therapeutic approach has been shaped as much by my own lived experience as by formal training.

My Experience

I completed my graduate degree in 2007 and hold a dual degree in clinical health psychology and nutrition from Bastyr University, a leading institution in natural medicine with an emphasis on the integration of mind, body, spirit, and nature. Since then, I have become a licensed mental health counselor and certified nutritionist, and I am dedicated to supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, chronic stress, life transitions, and the impact of long-standing patterns or limiting beliefs. I am especially drawn to working with people who are not only seeking relief from symptoms, but who feel called toward deeper awareness, resilience, and meaning.

I began seriously studying and practicing mindfulness and insight meditation in 2009 in response to a significant period of anxiety brought on by life circumstances. Over the years, I have completed numerous silent meditation retreats and advanced trainings, and mindfulness has become a foundational influence in both how I live and how I work with others. I am a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction™ (MBSR) teacher, and mindfulness-based practices are central to my therapeutic and educational work.

My work is also deeply informed by somatic and nervous system–based approaches. I completed a three-year training as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner™ and have studied the science and application of Organic Intelligence™ since 2010 am a certified Organic Intelligence™ coach. These modalities inform my understanding of trauma, stress physiology, and the innate capacity of the nervous system to move toward regulation, coherence, and healing.

How I Help

Working with me offers an integrative approach that weaves together interpersonal and existential psychology, somatic and neurobiological perspectives, mindfulness traditions, and holistic health principles. My intention is to create a collaborative, compassionate space where insight, embodiment, and practical change can emerge organically—at a pace that honors your unique nervous system, history, and intentions.

Peace is possible.

Through private sessions, a group class, or independent study at home, you can integrate the trials of your past into a peaceful present life.  We will use traditional therapy, mindfulness skills, and nervous system regulation methods all supported by a huge dose of compassion as we weave new understanding into the unique story that is the foundation of who you are.

Through this work it’s possible to develop presence and confidence; to understand how your experiences have developed the very strengths that you need to overcome the challenges that you face.

I have seen Eliza on and off for the past several years. She has been an integral part of my mental well-being. She is knowledgeable, well read, and has an expansive knowledge of various resources to recommend. She is the rare therapist that feels both professional and familiar, so confiding in and receiving advice from her feel both helpful and comforting.
