Introduction to Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

A Complimentary Introductory Class

-If you are considering the 8-week MBSR series, this introductory session is strongly encouraged.

-You are welcome whether you are brand new to meditation or returning to deepen an existing practice.

As a licensed therapist and certified MBSR teacher, I bring both clinical understanding and lived practice to this work. My intention is to create a grounded, welcoming space where learning feels accessible and experiential — not abstract.

A 40-minute documentary featuring Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of MBSR, interviewed by Bill Moyers. The film shares the origins of the program and its early work with individuals living with chronic pain — offering a powerful look at how mindfulness can support deep healing.

Practice

You will be guided through two brief mindfulness practices, giving you a direct experience of what mindfulness meditation feels like.

There will be time for questions about the upcoming 8-week series, so you can sense for yourself whether it feels like the right next step.
